Supplement company Ritual has launched Natalbiotic, a supplement formulated for women who are pregnant, trying, or in the postpartum stages.

The blend of biotics, developed in partnership with OB/GYNs, features clinically-studied ingredients to support digestive health, vaginal health, and the development of infants’ microbiome and immune system.

Breastfed infants receive about 27% of their gut microbiome from maternal milk, Ritual noted, and during pregnancy, there are significant changes to immune factors and vaginal/gut microbiota.

The supplement features a first-of-its-kind nested capsule tablet, which features micro tablets and a nested inner capsule release technology to maintain the integrity of prebiotics and probiotics, while enhancing absorption and efficiency.

The formula features:

  • HN001, a probiotic that supports breast milk immune factors and baby’s immune health, as well as metabolic health and normal glucose levels
  • PreforPro and the probiotic HN019 to support beneficial bacteria and digestive health including relief of constipation, bloating, and gas;
  • The probiotic blend UREXTM, which supports a healthy vaginal microbiome.

The formula is shelf-stable, and no refrigeration is needed.
